Q: Is the candidate obligated to pay a fee for using our placement service?
A: There are no fees for our candidates when using our recruitment services.
Q: What’s involved in engaging our recruitment services?
A: You can simply call us for a consultation or Send Your Resume informing us what type of career opportunities your are interested in. There are several ways you can send us your resume: by e-mail as a Word attachment, by fax, by uploading it through our website, or by applying for a position in our Job Listings section. The process typically goes something like this:
> Once we hear from you one of our Recruiting Consultants will contact you to talk about your experience,
skill set, and career objectives. > We then inform you of our current job opportunities that meet both your skill set and employment goals. > We also go through an explanation of the benefits you can receive by choosing to work with us.
Q: What are the advantages of working with us?
A: We are very good at what we do and have an open line with many hiring managers and HR departments in a variety of industries. We get to know our candidates through our comprehensive interview process. This ensures the opportunities we present to you are right for you in all respects. Q: I’ve been having a hard time finding the right job. How are you different for the other agencies?
A: We are not a revolving door agency. We take a holistic approach when working with our candidates. We determine your strengths, areas of improvement, potential career paths, and create a strategy to be able to market you to our clients more effectively.
Q: Does you offer permanent, as well as contract opportunities?
A: Actually we cater to permanent, temporary, temp to perm, and contract positions.
Q: What kind of contractors do you cater to?
A: We prefer independent contractors with backgrounds in the following areas: engineering, information technology, marketing, HR, finance, accounting, as well as management.
Q: What requirements must be met for an individual to be eligible as a contractor?
A: The individual must be incorporated. This is straight forward and can be done online at Corporations Canada. Additionally, the individual must also have registered for a GST account. Residents of Ontario may register online at Canada Revenue Agency.
Q: How does a contractor working for the us get paid?
A: As opposed to our full time employees who get paid automatically once initially set up on our payroll system, independent contractors must submit a weekly timesheet and invoice to us to receive their payment. Both timesheet and invoice must be filled completely, indicating hours worked, as well as signed off by the supervising client. These documents must be e-mailed or faxed (fax # 905 669-5283) to our payroll department no latter than Friday by 2pm.
Q: What is your policy on holidays and vacation?
A: Full time employees are eligible for paid vacation days and holidays. Your actual time off is a result of the number of hours you’ve worked.
Q: Are there financial incentives for anyone referring candidates to us?
A: We offer a bonus for anyone who refers a candidate that is eventually placed by us in either a permanent or contract role. There’s no limit to the number of referrals or bonuses you can earn. Note, any referred individual must work a minimum of 100 hours.
